The Best First Kiss

Followed by a long distance love

Or so they claim. According to Jessica & Sal they had each other pegged as one another’s best first kiss. It seems from that very moment they were going to cling to one another. They found comfort in their chemistry and quickly allowed their relationship to evolve into something really special. Their first date was one for the books and in that moment they knew they would last a lifetime. They found solace in the fact that they could truly be themselves in front of each other and feed off each others energy. They also shared a similar sense of humor.

Even when Sal was living in Boston, MA and Jessica was in NY they still found the time for the love they shared. It was a challenge but they knew they had to stick it out even when miles separated them. Although they had a long distance relationship, they made it work.

Years later, they found themselves meeting halfway in Newport, RI where Sal popped the big question. Jessica replied with a resounding “YEAAA”.

Now today, they find themselves planning a wedding and moving forward with their futures together.

Jessica & Sal chose to do their engagement session at Cedar Beach in Miller Place, Long Island, New York. It really fit the rustic beach theme they were looking to achieve. It is nice since it adds a little contrast to their overall wedding aesthetic and gives them some variety. Regardless of the juxtaposition they still have the love they share showing in ALL of their photographs.

Jessica & Sal really loved the idea of using natural light and natural poses and all of our ideas for scenery as a backdrop. The overcast weather really added an ethereal and romantic element to all of the photographs.

This session is really among one of our favorites. Jessica & Sal put a lot of thought into the style of session they wanted and it showed not only in their attire but their attitudes as well. They embraced all of our ideas and were really open minded to try out some new things that we wanted to do. When it came down to it getting their feet wet (literally) really paid off. They ended up with an unforgettable session that they will get to cherish for the rest of their lives.
